Fitness Alive operates two private pool locations in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in swim lessons and lap swimming for kids and adults. In Summer 2022, we will also host a six-week outdoor program at Creekside Swim Club in Wallingford, PA. Learn more about our pools and services offered at each below.
Fitness Alive Center City

1425 Arch Street, b level, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Enter by our street-level elevator (easy stroller access!). Look for the Fitness Alive sign outside of the elevator vestibule to the right of the building’s front steps.

Nearly 25-yard, four-lane, heated indoor pool. Depth ranges 3ft - 6ft in Center City.

Private and semiprivate swim lessons and small-group instructional swim classes for children and adults; lap swimming memberships; water-and-land fitness classes for adults; personal training; birthday parties.
+ Parking
Metered street parking or a parking garage. Our preferred garage is the Convention Center Parking Facility at Arch and N. Juniper, across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center; it’s $9 for the first hour.
+ Public transit
Our pool is conveniently located on the 48 bus route, and very near the 4, 2 ,16, and 27 routes. We are also one block from the subway lines at City Hall Station and two blocks from Suburban Station.

Fitness Alive South Philly

714 Reed Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147, inside Fitness Works Philadelphia. Enter by our pool door on the east side of the facility on South Beulah Street. Please note the pool is only accessible via stairs.

- Monday: 9:30am-7pm
- Tuesday: 10am-7pm
- Wednesday: 10am-6pm
- Thursday: 10am-7pm
- Friday: Closed
- Saturday: 10am-3pm
- Sunday: 9am-2pm
*Please note, the lesson hours above may vary slightly depending on client and instructor availability. However, you can stop in for a tour of the facility during any of the above time windows by inquiring at the gym’s front desk. A staffer would be happy to show you around.

Fitness Works has a small parking lot on Reed Street that you are welcome to use. Otherwise, there is free street parking in the neighborhood.

We are located one block from the 47 and 47M bus routes, and two blocks from the 45. The nearest subway station is Tasker-Morris (0.7 miles).
