 Pool Fitness Classes + open practice

Our group fitness classes and Open Practice sessions are open to members and nonmembers alike. Pre-registration is required; we will not accept walk-ins.

+ Class Descriptions and Schedule

  • Water Aerobics: Burn and tone! We utilize tools such as paddles, dumbbells, pool noodles, and more to create resistance in the water. The goal is to improve flexibility, build strength, increase range of motion, and improve muscular endurance for a low-impact, head-to-toe workout. Modifications are provided to increase or decrease intensity, so this class is for all ages and abilities. No swim experience needed!

  • Lap Swimming for Fitness: Interested in lap swimming but aren’t sure how to write a workout? Or can’t find the motivation to swim solo? This is the class for you! We will coach you through yardage-focused workouts with an eye to endurance and speed. You’ll get motivation from a coach and peers, plus a new workout each week, to help you become a strong, confident lap swimmer. Prerequisite skills: This is not a swim-instruction class. You should be able to complete at least 2 laps of freestyle and/or 1 lap of backstroke at a time to participate in this class (a short rest in between is ok!). Coaches provide lap swimming technique and group workouts designed for lap swimmers.

  • Adult Open Practice: Open Practice sessions are uncoached swim times at our Center City pool where you can swim laps, practice skills, or do your own water workout. Sessions are booked in 30-minute increments. Swimmers may share a swim lane with up to 1 other person during Open Practice. Open Practice is available at our Center City location only (1425 Arch Street), and advance reservations are required; we cannot accept walk-ins. Swimmers must be aged 18+; no exceptions.

  • First-time Trial Class: $15 (one-time use only for First Timers!)
  • Single fitness class (drop-in): $25
  • Open Practice (single sesson): $15
  • 10-class card: $200

+ Cancellations

There are no refunds for class cards or unused class credits. In addition, due to the limited swimmer capacity, the following cancellation policies will be strictly enforced:

  • Cancellation with at least 12 hours notice - no additional charge (prepaid class credit, placed back on account for future use). To cancel your class reservation, log in to your Mindbody account and cancel from your Schedule tab. Or, cancel from the Mindbody app.
  • Cancellation with less than 12 hours notice - class credit charged and no refund. Lap Members will be charged a $5 late-cancel fee for group fitness classes.
  • No-shows - class credit charged and no refund. Lap Members will be charged a $5 no-show fee for group fitness classes.
